The Department of Management Studies, being the youngest in the college, was established in the year 2008. The campus provides an ideal environment for young minds to explore new knowledge, encourage in lateral and creative thinking. It aims at providing education, training and development. The department is focusing its resources exclusively on the budding managers. The main aim of the department is to enrich the knowledge to create and equip prospective managerial skills, leadership skills, lateral thinking, problem solving skills, communication skill, decision making skills, listening skills, commitment to the truth, administrative and financial skills thus abetting successful entrepreneurs and corporate heads of tomorrow. Guest lecture is an important activity in any form of education, especially in management education. It is called upon to share the knowledge, expertise and real time experience with the students. Students benefit greatly from being exposed to additional perspectives that the guest lecture can provide. So the department invites experts from both institutions and industry nearby BIM, NIT, BHEL etc.,
In addition to gaining great experience to complete class room learning, college internships allow students to beef up the portfolio or resume and make valuable industry contacts. It not only gets hands of experience in an corporate setting, it become part of a team, also gain a valuable knowledge in the field of studies. The student’s do at least one internship every semester at nearby Industries, Hospitals, Retail Outlets, Agencies etc.,
Skill development helps in developing student skill set to add value for their career, which fosters an attitude of appreciation for lifelong learning. The skill development makes a realization of any goal comes as a result of developing their right skills to succeeded. Here in the department students are horned with decision making skill, communication skill, problem solving skill, leadership skill etc.
Industry visits sensitize students to the practical challenges that organizations face in the business world. Industrial visit also give greater clarity about various management concepts for students as they can practically see how this concepts are put in action. Keeping this in mind the department organizes industrial visit every semester to nearby industry to have a feel of the environment.
Conference (Trends & Research in Management -TRIM)
The Trends in Management has been facing immense challenges and highly visible upheaval since the beginning of new millennium. This show, aims at pinpointing the most important challenges, identifying the trends and offering a platform to solve pressing problems. The management Trends and Innovations has developed into a center of excellence and a driving force for the global research, generating a much needed information platform. This complication unites the highlights of the convention in articles contributed by renowned professionals and scientists from the academic & industry.
Seminar / Symposiums / Workshops
Whatever be the field, everything is getting advanced. Lots of research and studies are carried out on various subjects around the world. These updates on various fields can’t be included the student curricular. This is where thisconferences/seminars/symposium/workshopis of great in progress. These provide latest information about the things which are happening. The programmes are organized by students to gain in aspects of mobilizing resources and organizing the programme.
Management Meet (LERAAN)
In an events context impacts encompasses a variety of positive benefits and negative impacts which might occur as a result of an event taking place. These impacts and benefits may be apparent before the event takes place, during the event or after the event. They may be felt by variety of organizers including participants. This would help them in learning and gaining knowledge of various functions of management.
Personality Development Training (PDT)
The real purpose of education is to equip students with potential to meet challenges in life. PDP can aid them in dealing with challenges of the outside world more effectively and efficiently. Every semester an outbound training is imparted for the students in the area of motivation, team building, conflict management etc.,
Mentoring & Counseling
Counseling is a very important activity in our department. It is a process by which students are given advice on how to deal with emotional conflicts and personal problem both in college and how to incorporate same in their daily life. It enables student undergoing difficulty have a good place, ask questions and clarify by the counselor. For every four students a mentor is allotted to look in to their academic, personal, career oriented issues and recorded with full confidentiality in case sheet, where they are counseled by the mentors of any issues.
Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)
It is often believe that the world of entrepreneurship, they are many things no colleges can teach, but structured programmes which is framed by the department will help student’s to fill in gaps, skill sets and teach formal skills in a range of various disciplines in our institution every year one weak EDP is conducted for the student community to identify business arenas through entrepreneurs visiting our premises.
Oxford Management Association (OXMA)
It is art creating an environment which students can perform as individuals and it cooperate towards group goals. The association helps in to bring out individual potential through effective, planning, organizing, decision making, team building and more.
Pre Placement Training (PPT)
It is a training given to the students before their placements to fulfill the gap between the campus and the corporate. This training focuses on the aptitude skills, communication skills and leadership skills.
Industry Institution Interaction (III)
Interactions provide a broad pavement to the students to know about the corporate environment, the current trends and the life style at the company. This is done through inviting the professionals to the campus and providing the opportunity to the students to interact with them about the corporate companies and the available opportunities and letting them to know the ways to equip them to fulfill their expectations. Also we allow the students to have internships at the companies with assigned projects.
The HR club holds events all through the year to enable students to gain insights into the latest happenings in the field of HR. The plethora of activities ranging from seminar, conferences, Debate to Quiz, Games &Exercises etc. are regularly organized to enhance the relevant and essential skills required to make successful HR professional in the corporate world. The HR area is still in progress. To ensure that we are an attractive place to work we plan activities within these areas:

The Marketing Club enables students to participate in activities that enrich their exposure to marketing in the “real world,” with a focus on career development. Opportunities include the chance to have a group discussion on industry and social issues, product launch activities, and adzap training. The Marketing Club meets on every Mondays during activity hour, and offers students opportunities to engage in marketing-related and social activities. The club is also a good place to meet other students and start building professional contacts.
Creates a hub of knowledge and aplatform for interactive learning, facilitates for career progress by connecting students, industry, alumni and academia. The active focus group of the Finance Club and their planned/implemented buffet club activities are:

The Finance Club meets on every Wednesdays during activity hour, and offers students opportunities to engage in finance-related and share market activities. The club is also a good place to meet other students and start building professional contacts.
Coffee club’s main goal is to get students exited and passionate about happenings at corporate. It is observed that students interact and gain knowledge during the process. Coffee club is about a lot more than spending time, attending class or studying. It’s also about more than partying, if we are into that sort of things. It is more interesting and protecting use of time and also great for future professional life and social life. The club activities involves students groups initiative and to be a team player.
The student’s competition is focused on innovations. Without innovation there is no future, no progress. Innovation is the key of success. The young talents we are looking for want to get to know, keep in contact, answer questions and listen to ideas, because they are the futures. In our department we encourage students to create advertisements, tag lines, short films, short stories, model creation etc.,
Community club play a vital part in fostering the concept of community development and democracy. The students organize themselves with the primary aim of attending to people’s needs, desires and aspirations to the nearby community. Every semester the students conduct outreach programmes to villages, orphan homes, old age homes etc., conduct many programmes relating to social issues.
