Dr. T. K. Sreedharan, Director – Singar Academy, presented the students a Guest Lecture on 15th May, 2013, titled “ Be an Informed Investor” co –sponsored by Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt. of India , and ICWAI , Trichy Chapter.

Shri. K. Devaraju, Financial Educational Trainer, SEBI India, presented a Guest Lecture to the students under the title “Financial Planning for Young Investors” on 27th September,2013

Faculty Development Programme

FDP – TATPAR – was inaugurated on 29th July, 2013, by Prof. R. Panchanathan with the welcome address by Dr. T. N. Prabhakaran, Dean- Academic, OEC. Followed by the Key note address by Prof. R. Panchanathan, Director, Talent Consultancy, Trichirappalli.

The Afternoon Session continued with Dr. Gajapathy, V. Professor – Management Studies, Indira Gandhi College, presented the audience with “Teaching Etiquettes & Anecdote” for the whole day.

Day – II Dr. Senthilnathan S., Dept. of Educational Technology, Bharathidasan University, Trichy, lectured on the topic “ ICT – Information Technology” with prelude to Digital Learning through Web 2.0, in the Forenoon Session.

In the afternoon session, participants were given hands-on training on how to create blogs and use them for effective training cum teaching.

Day -III Dr. Anitha Priya Raja, Asst. Professor [Sr – OB & HR Division]. VIT Business School, Vellore, presented a topic on “Taxonomy and Experiential Learning”

Day – IV Dr., Victor Lazer, Trainer – Southern Railway,, has delivered the lecture on “Psychological Aspects in Teaching” to the participants

Day V – Dr. Arul Chellakumar, A.J., Prof & Head, Dept. of Economics, Bharathidasan University, Trichy, has demonstrated the “Pedagogy – Indian Scenario”, in the forenoon session.

Day – VI Prof. R. Panchanathan, Director, Talent Academy, Trichy, delivered a message on “Teaching and Learning Process”, at the Forenoon session.

Day – VII – “Search the Teacher in You”, an inside look into oneself who has a flair for teaching, was the topic of this day and presented by Dr. K. Srinivasan, Professor, Dept. English, National College, Trichy, in the forenoon session

At Afternoon session, participants were lectured on how to keep the span of attention of students during the class hours without distraction and making the learning process effective.

Day – VIII – “Key elements in Effective Teaching” – presented by Dr. Jeykar Chellaraj, D.A. Executive Director – IMPART, in the forenoon session.

The effective steps to practice during the class hours by the teachers and trainers were discussed in the Afternoon session.

Day – IX – Dr. Chaarlas, I.J., Prof & Head, Dept. of Commerce, St. Joseph’s College, Trichy, lectured about the “Ideal Teacher” in the forenoon session.

At afternoon session, the glory of our Indian teaching culture was detailed with reference to global education service in the past.

Day – X - The concluding day for this FDP was chaired by Dr. Umeshsamuel, A., Professor, Dept. of Social Work, Bishop Heber College, Trichy, with a concurrent topic on “Trends in Research”, in the forenoon session.

The participants offered their views and feedback about this FDP in the afternoon session including of that morning lecture topic, which drew a wide appreciation and applaud from the various participants, which seem to be a fitting time to bring the curtains down for this event and made it a successful one.
